Open Sailing - 23rd May, 2023

The 2023 Open Sailing season began on Tuesday 23rd May with an eager attendance of both existing and prospective members, all keen to get out on the water and experience a brief taste of sailing courtesy of some of our very kind members who volunteer their time and the use of their boats to take guests out for a short sail.

This particular occasion was blessed with both good wind, perhaps a mite above a completely relaxed sail, but comfortable nevertheless thanks to the possibility of reefing sails or sailing under jibs and genoas alone. Our diverse group of guests got to enjoy the water (not literally!), the views back to Edinburgh that appear so fine from off-shore and a brief drink in our clubhouse bar at the end to discuss all matters sailing, club and beyond.
