Open Sailing - 7th June, 2022

Last night saw the second of our Open Sailing evenings and was once again met with great success.

Five boats took to the water in brisk conditions with NE wind speeds between 15 20 knots and offered exciting sailing for the ten guests who joined us.

The majority of boats left the harbour and spent time tacking and gybing between the deep channel marker and Leith approach giving their guests a taster of just how exciting sailing on the Forth can be.

On return to the harbour, most boat owners and guests made use of our clubhouse and enjoyed a refreshment and a chance to reflect on the evening.

The Open Sailing evenings provide an opportunity for everyone taking part. Be it, non members looking for a taste of sailing or a club to join, non boat owning members looking to or improve their skills or boat owning members looking for an opportunity to recruit or just meet people who share a similar interest in sailing.

Our next Open Sailing evening is on Tuesday 21st June 2022 and if you're able to join in, please check out the main RFYC Open Sailing web-page, book a ticket and come along and join in the fun with us. We meet at the club patio area at 17.45 hrs with the intention of being on the water at 18.00 hrs, returning to the clubhouse afterwards for refreshments and socialising.
