Cruise in Company (CiC)
Cruise in Company (CiC) is a regular programme run every season for any skipper wanting to enjoy a pleasant sail in the company of other boats. There are generally six such weekend events organised throughout the regular sailing season and participating members normally muster together on the day and choose a local destination according to the conditions prevailing at the time. The plan usually involves an enjoyable passage, followed with a break for lunch, before members return later the same day. Occasionally the club will also organise a slightly longer "overnight" passage to one of several local destinations, to spread the cruise across a full weekend. For even longer cruising opportunities see the club's East Coast Cruises programme.
Typical destinations include a number of attractive safe anchorages and small harbours within reach of Granton Harbour including Aberdour, Barnhill Bay, Inchcolm, Inchkeith, Inchmickery, Cramond Island and numerous others.
A collection of reports from previous Cruise in Company events is provided on the menu on the left of this page. (For desktop browsers. Mobile users... hit the hamburger instead!)
