Racing season gets underway with the opening regatta

The 2021 racing season got underway on Saturday with the opening regatta. The weather was good to us this year as crews were met with sunshine, a few clouds and a light breeze, which led to a gentle easing back into racing mode! A relatively small turnout this time round, but we had a great mix of different boats across three classes. Three races were held in Wardie Bay, round our new race marks, much to delight of everybody taking part.

The racing was overseen by our Commodore and supported by an excellent race team. Full race results will be shown on the website shortly.

There is a full racing calendar ahead, which can be seen via the website calendar, so lots to look forward to! If you are keen on trying some racing, please make yourself available via the crewing option under your membership portal area.

A huge thanks to the Sailing Committee and helpers in getting everything ready for this season's opener.
