A wonderful Christmas lunch!

A most enjoyable afternoon of festivities was had on Friday with the RFYC Christmas lunch.
The amazing kitchen team catered seamlessly for 90 members and guests- many thanks to them, the volunteer bar staff and the servers for all their hard work.
In addition to his Christmas speech, the Commodore had an opportunity to present Colin Williamson with the Debutante Trophy for Services to the Club- a recognition for all Colin's hard work which goes on mostly behind the scenes. Congratulations Colin!
In addition to the regular raffle, there was a special 'golden ticket' raffle. This star prize of an overnight stay at the Balmoral Hotel was won to great applause by bar volunteer Ali Black
That wasn't the only time the Balmoral cropped up though- to help along the auction of a fine bottle of wine, the Commodore agreed to spend an evening washing dishes in their kitchens if people dug deep into their pockets for the bidding! Well done to John Robertson for the winning bid and well done Michael- don't forget your marigolds!!
A special mention goes out to Fred Murray, a guest of the Commodore'. Fred was a very good friend of Michael's father and was a lively and entertaining guest!
