Open Sailing 21st July

Our most recent Open Sailing evening treated those who participated to almost "Champagne Sailing" conditions.
With flat seas and a light westerly breeze filling in as we left the harbour, our guests were treated to a wonderful nights sailing on the Forth.
Upon leaving the harbour, most of the fleet decided to head over towards the deep channel markers with some taking advantage of the windier conditions found mid-Forth to enable them to round Inch Colm, Oxcars and Inch Mickery before returning to the harbour.
On our return, guests were invited up to the club for refreshments and the opportunity to discuss their evening's experience. Many of these guests expressed a sincere interest in sailing, with many of them genuinely enquiring about joining our club. Lets hope that interest leads to them taking out membership here at RFYC!
Many thanks to all the skippers who gave up their time to give our guests a wonderful experience on the water. Boats taking part were: Moon White, Eriskay, Solveig, Orithya, Silkie, Hilarity, Ingrid and Anna Ross.
Our next Open Sailing evening takes place on 4th August 2026.
