Open Sailing - 6th August, 2024

Our guests were treated to an exciting time on the water in our most recent Open Sailing event.

Six boats took to the water and let our guests experience just how exhilarating it can be sailing on the Forth from Granton with S/SW winds gusting up to F6.

Heavily reefed, most boats chose to head West upon leaving the harbour and had a great time showing off their varying tacking and gybing skills for an hour or so before having to return to the harbour.

Afterwards at the clubhouse for refreshments, most guests expressed how much they had enjoyed the experience and enquired as to how they might continue their interest in sailing.

Hopefully, our club membership will continue to rise as a result of this event.

A huge thanks to all the skippers for giving up their time and making their boats available to take our guests out.
