A great night for Open Sailing

Guests were treated to a little bit of excitement on our most recent Open sailing event.
Seven boats took part in conditions that were a little bit blustery with W/SW wind speeds gusting up to 25knts and most boats opting to either heavily reef main sail and Genoa or to go under reefed Genoa alone.
On leaving the harbour most boats headed over to the deep water channel before tacking up river with a few more adventurous skippers managing to make it towards Oxcar and round Inchmickery before returning.
Unfortunately, due to repairs currently being carried out to our clubhouse, the social side of the evening had to be contained to the patio area. However, most people taking part last night expressed that they'd had a fantastic time on the water with many expressing a wish to do it again soon.
