Due to a very unfavourable weather forecast for Sunday, our Discover Sailing event has been cancelled. We don't want your first experience to be wild winds and blustery showers! Please consider our Open Sailing evenings, held throughout the summer, as an alternative. Check out more information here.

Join us at RFYC on Sunday, 25 May 2025 for a fantastic day by the water as part of RYA's Discover Sailing. Whether you're a complete beginner or simply curious about life on the water, this is your opportunity to experience the thrill of sailing in a safe, friendly environment.
What to Expect:
- Free Sailing Taster Sessions on a variety of boats
- Meet our friendly club members and explore what we have to offer
- Fun for the whole family, including kids' activities and refreshments
- No experience needed just bring a change of clothes and a sense of adventure!
Discover Sailing is about breaking down the barriers to boating. If you've ever looked out to sea and thought "I'd love to try that" now is your moment.
