The Royal Forth Bar is Back in Business!

Published 20:34 on 19 Jun 2021
We are tremendously proud to reopen our bar at long last, and have Will Davies, our Rear Commodore (House Convener), Membership Secretary and Royal Forth star chef to thank for driving this sterling effort. A few members were able to celebrate today after the Saturday Series Early 3, with a patiently awaited pint.
Thank you to the House Committee and all those who've chipped in with planning, varnishing and fitting to help get us back in business but especially to Will for giving his valuable time and energy in support of this very positive development for the club.
We are looking for members to help behind the bar. Some of you will already have your certificate but we will also be running a training evening in mid July as soon as the new draught beer taps are in place. If you would like to spend an evening or two in good company after a sail, or help support our new social calendar, please sign up!
We are also writing a job description for a paid bar person to cover weekends and events. If you know of anyone this may suit, let us know. There could be scope to influence the development of our bar, kitchen and yard, depending on experience. The club kitchen will also soon be completed and we are very excited to see all of this work now coming to fruition for the benefit of all members.
