On Sunday 4th July, the club celebrated and commemorated Sandra Cameron's thirty-seven years of dedicated service to the Royal Forth Yacht Club. Sandra retired at the end of April after a long association with the club, running the office and a great deal more.
Our brilliant team worked tirelessly to provide safe opportunity for a few members to say their thank yous and farewells. Many members donated generously to gifts of thanks. Our Commodore and MaƮtre d' presented presented some very special items, including a silver engraved commemoration plate by Hamilton & Inches and a unique, commissioned screenprint of the Royal Forth Yacht Club by local artist Kelly Stewart.
Sandra wishes to thank all those who contributed to the retiral presentations, especially those who were able to attend the lunch on the day, and to the many unable to attend due to circumstances.
Will Davies, our Vice Commodore Head Chef created an utterly delicious meal in the newly refurbished kitchen and surroundings of the clubhouse. Members were able to raise a toast, just avoiding the memorable downpour.
We wish Sandra a very happy retirement and thank all those who worked so hard to make this such a special day for her.
