For Sale - Stargazer (ex Kismet) GBR509

International Dragon - Borresen, 1986
Sailed as Kismet at RFYC Edinburgh until 2017.
Renamed as Stargazer 2018. Last sailed in 2021 at the Edinburgh Cup.
Stored ashore at Longniddry near Edinburgh.

HULL

White GRP, with blue stripe at deck level.
Original teak inlay on the coach house roof and the deck is in grey anti-slip.
Cockpit on the Borresen is roomy and deeper than the old wooden ones so easier to duck the boom and room to move.
Wooden crew seat and helm seat and are part of her measured weight of 1700kg fully rigged.

RIGGING

Mast ram.
Above deck runners replaced with dyneema 2016. The roller furling gear works well.

SAILS

1 main, 1 genoa, 1 spinnaker.

EQUIPMENT

Mostly fitted with Harken for the key elements.
Harken main traveller track and car replaced in 2016.
Genoa fine tune extended to improve ability to control from weather deck and reduce crew workload in heavy weather tacking in 2016.
Replaced genoa sheets 2021 as thinner ones now possible and also reduces snagging on shrouds when tacking.
Spinnaker on Harken ratch-a-matic blocks.
Winch can be used for pole control in windier weather.
Launching strop.

Substantial trailer, old, but well looked after - tyres (and spare) in excellent condition
