RFYC Cruise In Company 15th September

Members and guests of the RFYC enjoyed the last scheduled Cruise in Company of the 2024 season with a short trip over to Aberdour harbour.

With SW winds predicted between F2 and F4 the seven boats departed from the harbour in the company of the Forth Corinthian Yacht Club fleet who were heading out for a muster at Inchcolm island.

Shortly after departing, the early starters were caught out by a squall that descended upon them and forced some to put in an unexpected reef. Fortunately, the squall passed over just as quickly as it came, reefs were shaken out and the remainder of the journey was very pleasant.

Once tied up in the harbour, time allowed all in attendance the chance to get ashore to have lunch, socialise and have a wander around.

Boats in attendance were: Myrene, Shalimar, Skye Bear, Idothea, Orithya, Hopscotch, Solveig and for a brief period Glengarry joined us at Aberdour.
