SOLD: Flying Fifteen K1455
Abandoned boat being disposed of by the club, in return for a donation. Sold as seen.
GRP hull and deck (Copland 1971). Hull painted dark blue, deck painted pale blue with grey & white trim; some paint flaking on the deck and internally.
Mast (Superspars) and standing rigging, boom, spinnaker pole.
Mainsail and jib, spare jib (which needs luff wire).
Centre mainsheet on traveller, jib sheets. Continuous line type jib furler, including top swivel. No kicking strap, although the attachment points for it are present on mast and boom. Deck hardware suggests it may have been set up for single handed sailing (jib sheet jammers on side decks near mainsheet traveller).
Highfield type lever for jib halyard tension which should probably be replaced. Tooth rack for main halyard, should probably be replaced
Spinnaker chute with cover, spinnaker pole but no pole uphaul or downhaul, no spinnaker, no spinnaker sheets. The boat sits on an un-braked trailer which appears functional. No cover.
More photographs can be seen here.
There is no paperwork but the sail number and builder's plate correspond to the entry on the Flying Fifteen International Register .
