    Sandra Cameron's retirement after 37 years officially commemorated

    On Sunday 4th July, the club celebrated and commemorated Sandra Cameron's thirty-seven years of dedicated service to the Royal Forth Yacht Club. Sandra retired at the end of April after a long association with the club, running the office and a great deal more. Our brilliant team worked tirelessly to provide safe opportunity for a few members to say their thank yous and farewells. Many members donated generously to gifts of thanks. Our Commodore

    Fame at last for our latest Commodore

    Patience is a virtue, and aren't we all learning this lesson well. It's wonderful to finally complete a task that has been pending since the most recent election of a new Commodore to the club in November 2020. Finally his illustrious name is written in gold on our Commodore's Board in the stairwell. The eagle eyed among you will see that this is a three year reign and in difficult times.

    The Royal Forth Bar is Back in Business!

    We are tremendously proud to reopen our bar at long last, and have Will Davies, our Rear Commodore (House Convener), Membership Secretary and Royal Forth star chef to thank for driving this sterling effort.     Inchkeith Trophy Saturday 5th June

    There has been a change to the SIs for the Inchkeith Trophy on Saturday 5th June to alter the course as we do not yet have an "R" mark. You can download the update here . The change is also posted on the notice board at the club and the Race Officer will hold a briefing at 9am before the race.

    The restored Royal Dragon, Bluebottle joins the Edinburgh Cup

    On May 14th, Cathy Ogden and Charles Morton attended a special event at the Royal Yacht Britannia to see the unveiling of the former royal Dragon, Bluebottle K192 built in 1948, after major restoration and refit by David Heritage Racing Yachts . The accompanying photographs reveal the exceptionally high standard of the restoration. Bluebottle is the very first entry to this year's British Dragon Association (BDA)

    Racing season gets underway with the opening regatta

    The 2021 racing season got underway on Saturday with the opening regatta. The weather was good to us this year as crews were met with sunshine, a few clouds and a light breeze, which led to a gentle easing back into racing mode!
