Lift-In complete in time for some glorious weather
The whole RFYC community worked incredibly hard yesterday to ensure lift- in was a great success. The day started with clearing the yard of boats on trailers, a safety talk and then on with the lifting! Starting with freeing a stuck daggerboard, then craning the bilge and fin keelers back into the harbour, before finally moving the storage containers to make way for a new yard shed. A very successful crane-out
Despite a damp start on Wednesday, we waved goodbye to Simandy who is heading for a life of globe-trotting adventures, and safely lifted 28 boats into the yard for winter. A huge thank you to Yard Manager Piotr, Brian and all the volunteers who made the day the success it was, and lets not forget Will and the team upstairs who kept everyone fed.
