Lift In 2022 » Club Pillar Crane Reservation

14th April 2022

The Club Pillar Crane is now bookable in the resources section of the RFYC website linked here under the BOOK ONLINE tab. We would be pleased if you could utilise this facility, or you may book the Crane with Piotr face to face or by phone in the usual way. Options and Pricing are as follows:

CLUB PILLAR CRANE

Use of electric hoist for boat/mast lift: £52.00 per lift

Self-use of rope tackle (for mast lift etc.): No charge

Boatman assistance for either of the above: £20.00 per hour (min charge 1 hr)

Season Ticket* (Boat with RFYC Mooring): £208.00

* Cost for dry sailed boat using crane included in the summer yard charge rate

NB: The club crane offers a 2t and a 5t chain hoist (boat) lift facility and also a manual (mast) lift facility.

Operating Procedures for the Club Pillar Crane are detailed in the H&S section of our website linked here. The instructions refer to use of the 2t and 5t chain hoist facility. Any member who requires to use the 2t or 5t crane facility must have read these 'Instructions For Use' and have signed the crane register to show that they have read and understood the instructions. See the Yard and Harbour manager or contact him by phone or email: 07749 897760, yhmanager@royalforth.org.

If any member has any doubt about their competence to use the crane safely then they should consult the club Yard & Harbour Manager and arrange an assisted lift. By reserving one of the options below you are required to tick the box to say whether you require Boatman assistance.

The member undertaking the lifting operation is entirely responsible for ensuring the safety of the lifting team and any other persons who may come within the area of the operation.

Hard hats MUST be worn at ALL times when using the crane (spare hats are in the plastic container within the north gate, close to the crane).
