WINTER TALK: Sailing the West Coast of Sweden

Martin Edge will talk about the joys of cruising in Scandinavia. In particular the sheltered, tideless waters and hundreds of beautiful islands off the west coast of Sweden.

Martin has cruised northern Europe extensively aboard his Vancouver 27 'Zophiel', often from a home base at Port Edgar. This has included trips to the Lofoten islands of arctic Norway and through the Baltic as far as the Russian border. He has published a number of books about these travels. Being a congenital wimp and extremely parsimonious, he's always on the lookout for cheap, relaxed, easy, hassle free cruising destinations. His boat is now kept on the Bohuslän coast of Sweden, which perfectly fits these specifications.
