Moorings & Yard Fees
It is the members' responsibility to book all you need for upkeep of your craft, e.g. Contract Crane and/or Club Crane Season Ticket at the beginning of the Season when prompted, as well as RENEW and pay for your moorings and yard storage as required. If you wish to change your mooring or storage rather than simply renew the same as last year, please contact Hannah in the office, admin@royalforth.org.
You are also able to book use of the Contract Crane or Club Pillar Crane via the website, as well as in the usual way via the Yard and Harbour Manager and his diary.
Paper copy forms for those that require them are also available in the downloads section of the respective Season page in the menu bar: 'Lift In (Summer)' & 'Lift Out (Winter)', to the left of this page.
Use of moorings, boats, pontoons, slipways, boat yard, crane, and other facilities
All members' boats, not on trailers, stored in the yard over winter are presumed to being launched the following season. If this is not the case then the boat owner must inform the office prior to lift out. If no prior notice is provided, the Club reserves the right to reposition any craft which subsequently remains in the yard for the summer season by use of the contract crane. The boat owner will be liable for the cost of that lift.
Members and non-members using the Club services and facilities will be deemed to have read and accepted the terms and regulations regarding the use of moorings, yard and crane. Current regulations are detailed in the Club Rules.
It is a condition of being offered the use of any of the facilities of the Royal Forth Yacht Club, that the Club will not be liable for any injury or loss whatsoever caused which may be sustained by you or any person on your craft using the Club's facilities or for any damage of whatever nature sustained by your craft in using any of these facilities under the Club's control and the Club will accept no responsibility for any such injury, loss or damage to persons or property however it may have been caused.
Insurance
You must have appropriate insurance for all eventualities which may occur, on the basis that your use of the Club facilities is entirely at your own risk. All yachts using the Club moorings, yard or facilities, including the Edinburgh Marina pontoon must carry a minimum of £3m insurance.
Summer and Winter Moorings
Yacht owners should check their mooring pennants, chain and shackles periodically. The Club cannot accept liability for any damage caused by vessels breaking loose.
