Avian flu outbreak: help avoid disturbance of seabird colonies
Landings and guidance on avoidance of disturbance of seabird colonies due to outbreak of bird flu As you may have read in the press, there is a serious outbreak of bird flu (H5N1) in seabird colonies in Scotland and large numbers of birds have died. We have been asked by NatureScot to help in two ways: by not handling dead or dying seabirds or allowing a dog to touch them.

The swinging Edinburgh Regatta 2022!
The Edinburgh Regatta took place on 25/26 June at Granton, Edinburgh, jointly hosted by Royal Forth YC and Forth Corinthians YC. It was last held in 2019 like so many other events. Firstly, the RFYC would like to thank our Vice Commodore, Sarah Robertson for organising and managing this event. It was a weekend not without challenges. THANK YOU, Platinum Jubilee Parade of Sail, 4th June 2022
A big thank you to all twenty boats and members who braved the somewhat stronger than forecast wind on the Forth, Saturday 4th June for the Parade of Sail in honour of Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. It was a beautiful spectacle and an exhilarating downwind sail from Newhaven to Granton, enjoyed by many on land as well as those on the water.
